How it works

PettyGigs connects requestors (Gig Posters) and performers (Giggers) of common tasks and errands (gigs). A Gig Poster posts a Gig and gets matched with a Gigger who performs the gig.
No gig is too small! We focus on mundane tasks and errands. Anyone can become a Gigger! You do not need specialized skills.

What is done to ensure safety?

Ensuring the safety of users is our primary concern. Each Gigger 18 and over will undergo and must pass a comprehensive background check before using PettyGigs.

How are Giggers Below 18 Vetted

For Giggers below 18, we require consent from a parent or legal guardian before they are allowed to use the app. A parent or legal guardian providing consent must provide a government-issued identification to verify the name and age.

Who can post Gigs?

Anyone 18 and over can post gigs on the platform.

Who can perform gigs?

Anyone 14 and over can perform gigs. We will have built-in algorithms to ensure that younger Giggers are protected against labor regulations, which include what types of Gigs they can see in the app, what time of the day they can see gigs, how many hours they can perform gigs, etc.

How are Giggers protected

Our Giggers undergo comprehensive safety training to ensure they are aware of likely safety issues. They are also advised to report all safety concerns, including predatory attempts from Gig Posters. All reported incidents will be treated with urgency and undergo serious investigation. If necessary, Gig Posters will be banned from the platform.

Is the app free?

PettyGigs is free to use. We do however require a nonrefundable background check fee from Giggers undergoing background checks to cover the cost. We also charge a small platform commission fee from Giggers and Gig Posters each time a gig is performed.
